Adrenal Fatigue, Hormone Testing and Hair Analysis Testing
Adrenal Fatigue
It is estimated that up to 80 percent of adults in this country experience adrenal fatigue during their lifetime. Yet it is also one of the most under-diagnosed illnesses in the U.S.
The adrenal glands are very small and sit on top of your kidneys. Adrenals are the master endocrine gland in the body, responsible for stress management (physical, emotional and mental), fluid balance, blood sugar balance, control of inflammatory and anti-inflammatory responses to injury, immune system response and strength. They produce vitality hormones for energy and are the backup system for sex hormones. Adrenal Fatigue (also called Adrenal Exhaustion or Burnout) is the result of too much stress. Types of stressors include intense physical/emotional stress, poor eating habits, chronic inflammation, acute or chronic infection, workaholism, and lack of sleep. Over time, this stress can tax your adrenal glands to the point where other health problems develop.
Below are a list of symptoms of adrenal fatigue:
• Chronically fatigued – low energy
• Low libido
• Hormonal issues
• Sleep problems
• Inability to cope and difficulty handling emotions
• Poor memory/brain fog/lack of clarity with thinking
• Frequent infections/Immunity issues – longer duration of infections
• Gastrointestinal problems such as stomach burning, ulcers and irritable bowel
• Chronic depression and anxiety
Also—Drugs, such as statins and steroids, can contribute to adrenal fatigue.
I have found that using liquid herbal custom blends with appropriate nutritional supplements retrieves the adrenals and sets you on a course of revitalization.

Hormone Testing
We test saliva for female and male hormones. This is an accurate view into the active hormones. When the glands produce the hormones they are in a protein shell; when the hormones enter the cell the shell is broken. The saliva sample is accurate because it is cellular. This is a physiological fact and much more accurate than blood as many times the blood test does not separate out inactive from active.
In menopause, after the ovaries stop the production of the female hormones, the job is taken over by the adrenal glands.
So if your adrenals are depleted your journey through menopause will be rougher as the production of female hormones declines.
Nutritional and liquid custom blend formula of herbs can revive and retrieve your energy.
In andropause, men’s transition, the same situation effects the male hormones. The adrenal strength is tied in with hypothalamus and pituitary and hormone production. Libido declines and overall energy does also. Just giving testosterone creme is not enough to address the problem as the hormones need to be viewed as an integrated system. So boosting the adrenals aids the male hormones.

Why Hair Analysis?
Hair analysis is a screening test for 20 minerals and toxic metals. It can provide pertinent information regarding metabolism, energy levels, immune system and adrenal and thyroid glandular function. Hair is a mineral blueprint and informs us what is happening at a intracellular level. Hair analysis will alert us to imbalances long before a blood test will do so.
