As an instructor, Jane brings a flare for enthusiasm tempered with patience and kindness. Her passion is the study of yoga, health and fitness which shines through in her teaching as she skillfully guides students on their yoga journey. She began instructing health and fitness classes in 1984 and yoga in 1998. She is a certified Anusara Yoga teacher with over 16 years and 2000 hours of training in this joyful, alignment based style of yoga. Her primary teachers have been Anusara founder John Friend, Todd Norian, Charly Pivert, Desiree Rumbaugh, Noah Maze, Martin Kirk and Darren Rhodes. She is a Yoga Alliance registered teacher at the E-RYT 500 level. As a seasoned professional Jane has an experienced knowledge of the body, a humble attitude and a willingness to serve her students. She draws on her educational background with a Masters degree in Health Promotion and a minor in Studies in Aging. She continually enriches her insightfulness through a dedicated self study program of meditation and reading on topics of yoga philosophy, anatomy, biomechanics, and the art of teaching. Jane is also a certified personal trainer and teaches privates lessons in both fitness and yoga with a specialization in older adults and injury rehabilitation.
